New Jersey has one of the top public school educational systems in the nation, and New Jersey’s high schools require a high level of thinking, effort and dedication in order to receive a high school diploma.
With these demands being placed on high school students nowadays, Washington Academy understands the stress and anxiety associated with a high school academic schedule.
In order to minimize the pressure placed on students, Washington Academy focuses solely on providing an education that meets the high State graduation standards. In order to do that, the weekly academic schedule for high school only includes: Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Health, Physical Education, Visual and Performing Arts, World Language, Computer Technology, Electives and Career Exploration/Transition.
All Washington Academy students are eligible to participate in any school activity, club or sports available in their public school.
Washington Academy’s daily class schedule begins at 8:20 am and ends at 2:00 pm in order to allow enough time for students to arrive at home and participate in those programs.
Washington Academy’s high school academic program is designed to meet these goals with emphasis in instruction placed on alignment with the New Jersey Core Content Curriculum Standards.
